James Anthony & Joy Curriculum Vitae

Started magic at the age of 10yrs, and first performed professionally at the age of 15 at a local Brewers Fayre restaurant. Through his skills as a professional ice-skater, in Latin-Dancing, and of course magic and illusion, he has progressed his act into a TOTALLY UNIQUE show called Latin-Magic. Latin-Magic blends strong latin-dance, magic, escapology and illusion into one, creating a show that is hugely entertaining, and second-to-none.

From James Anthony, you can expect a highly energetic, entertaining and commercial style of magic, which is ideal for any entertainment venue, especially the cruise ship industry.

Specialities: Illusion, card magic, coin magic, impromptu magic, and general walk-around magical entertainment. - Having ice-skated for 16 years, in 1997 he became British Solo Intermediate Champion, and came 3rd in the Primary championships in 1999. Since then James concentrated on becoming the best he could be in the magic fraternity.

Also gained much modelling experience, and has had television experience in programs such as, Hollyoaks, Bookside, Eastenders, Granada Tonight, David Copperfield (BBC1) Question of Sport.

At present, our ambitions are endless...

Latin-Magic was formed in July 2001, and the act has taken off dramatically since our first performance at the Willows Variety and Country Club. Our ambitions are to make Latin Magic so different, that it will stand out amongst the very best of acts, both in the UK, and internationally. We believe there is a huge gap for this new type of performance.

As time goes on, we will slowly create an illusion act based around the same principles of dance and magic. Future goals are to continue performing on the cruise ships, and then venture into television, but our greatest ambition at present is taking our act to Vegas or Dubai, or finding high-quality residency or putting on our own productions.

We invent our own unique magical effects, and can easily create a custom-built show that can include plugs for your company and branding throughout.
